Jeffco Action Center Hosts 11th Annual Golf Classic and Casino Night at Rolling Hills Country Club

“Where Golf Matters”

LAKEWOOD, CO – Jeffco Action Center is honored to be the chosen recipient and co-host of the 11th Annual Golf Classic - Where Golf Matters and Casino Night, a one-time-only opportunity for the Action Center to be the beneficiary of this fundraising event. Festivities will be on Saturday, June 26 and Monday, June 28 at the championship Rolling Hills Country Club in Golden.

Rolling Hills Country Club Foundation

Each year the Rolling Hills Country Club Foundation partners with a worthy cause to benefit the community. With a goal of raising $100,000, proceeds from the event will allow Jeffco Action Center to provide an immediate response to basic human needs and promote pathways to self-sufficiency for Jefferson County Residents.

Thrilled to be Co-Host

“We are thrilled to be this year’s co-host, a truly once in a lifetime opportunity for the Action Center,” said Mag Strittmatter, executive director of the Jeffco Action Center. “Funds raised will aid countless programs that keep Jefferson County families from slipping farther into poverty.”

About the event

The 2-day event is open to the community and features a Casino Night on Saturday, June 26, a scramble format golf tournament on Monday, June 28 and fun for the entire family. Participants are encouraged to adopt a golf ball or duck for the exciting Helicopter Ball Drop and the 2nd Annual Duck Race down Duffer’s Gulch.

Community Participation

Community participation, sponsorship and in-kind donations will be a valued contribution to the event and will support food, shelter, clothing, rent and utility assistance for an average of 160 families seeking support from Jeffco Action Center daily.

Since 1968, Jeffco Action Center, a human-services non-profit, has provided an immediate response to basic human needs while promoting pathways to self-sufficiency through intervention, prevention and connection. Annually, the Action Center provides assistance to more than 25,000 Jefferson County residents. Services to the community include a food pantry, clothing bank, 22-bed homeless shelter, transportation, utility assistance and much more. With the help of 80 volunteers a day and more than 2,400 yearly, Jeffco Action Center gives help, provides hope and builds dignity while breaking the cycle of poverty.
