Jeff Kouns partners with H and M

With pop culture, art and fashion being so intertwined in this day and age it was only a matter of time before they combined for a fast fashion collaboration. Fast fashion retailer H and M has been a pioneer in the high fashon designer collaboration since 2004 when they tapped high fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld for their now annual holiday collaboration.

They now change the collaboration game yet again by joining forces with artist Jeff Kouns. Kouns, famous for his twelve foot metallic balloon dog , will lend that image for a limited edition leather hsndbag that is available now. The launch will celebrates the opening of the fashion chains 57,000 square foot 5th Avenue flagship store which will feature the balloon dog art covering the facade of the store with the phrase "FASHION LOVES ART" .The store will carry every single product line the retailer sells,including mens, womens, children, newborn, maternity, special sizes, cosmetics, lingerie and home.

The collaboration also serves to promote the opening of the artist's upcoming retrospective at the Whiteney museum of american art which is sponsored by the retailer. The retrospective opens July 29th.

The handbag will retail for $49.95 and is available at H and M stores, online at, and at the Whitney Museum to tie in with the retrospective. H and M has stores in The Florida Mall, The Mall at Millenia and The Altamonte Mall.

Their next partnership will be their annual holiday collaboration with designer Alexander Wang.
