Jeff Hardy and Rey Misterio both off WWE television

Jeff Hardy faced CM Punk in a loser leaves town match tonight on Smackdown and lost. With this Jeff takes his long expected hiatus from the WWE. This is the first loser leaves town match in the WWE that will last for awhile (Miz and Cena had one on Raw several weeks back, but that one only kept Miz out of the WWE for a week) since John Cena and Chris Jericho’s several years back. This gives Jeff his needed time to pursue and MTV reality show and hopefully return as a fresh face, maybe even with a new angle or direction. Meanwhile, Matt Hardy recently turned face to take at least part of Jeff’s spot, and Undertaker returned from his own yearly hiatus at Summerslam, all lined up to face new champion, CM Punk. Here’s YouTube Video of the end of the match and Jeff’s current WWE run for those of you who were pre-empted for baseball:

Rey Misterio is also lined up to be a challenger for Punk, but it won’t be until at least 30-days from now. WWE.com has revealed that Rey will be out for a month due to a wellness policy violation. While this does make his defeating of Dolph Ziggler at Summerslam a poor decision, at least now upon his return, CM Punk has another drug user to berate. Also, his suspension isn’t effective until next Wednesday, so with Smackdown taping Tuesdays, he still has time to lose his Intercontinental title.

More on each story as it breaks.

You seem like a well-rounded wrestling fan. So, I'm asking you for your professional opinion on this:

Is Jeff done with WWE? There's been high speculation, such as he's tired and wants a break, he doesn't like his contract so he didn't sign... your thoughts please.

I am a Jeff Hardy fan, and after tonight I don't think I could watch WWE. It just won't be the same without him. If anyone knows what Jeff will be up to next, please let us Jeff Hardy fans know.

Sorry for the late reply Tony. Jeff will almost certainly return at some point, who doesn't?, but when depends on his success with his MTV venture. MTV is notorious for under-paying their stars, so I'd expect him back in a year or two at most.
