Jeff Desira, the veteran San Francisco Bay Area singer-songwriter and musical collaborator has completed his debut solo album “Weathervane”. To celebrate this great achievement, on Saturday, July 19 Jeff Desira will release the album and play an album release show at Amnesia in the Mission District of San Francisco. After the show, Jeff plans to go on tour and bring his music to others from coast to coast.

Jeff Desira’s new solo album took two years to record and a total of six years to complete. The first producer of “Weathervane” died from cancer not long after the basic scratch tracks were recorded for “Weathervane”. Before he died, he told Jeff to promise him that he would finish the record and now after six years, Jeff’s promise is fulfilled and his greatest work is complete. “Weathervane” consists of songs from Jeff’s tragedies (after an accident in 2011, Jeff lost the ability to play guitar with his left hand for four months) as well as his experiences in New York. The album is full of catchy melodies, delightful harmonies, and acoustic ballads in addition to being a showcase of Jeff’s great lyrical ability. “Weathervane” features an array of musicians from Andrew Griffin (Felsen, Cake, Camper Van Beethoven) on drums, Alan Monasch on piano, Scarth Locke on trombone, Dana Cory on French horn, Rob Hart on drums, Evan “Slow Burn” Stuart on Sousaphone, Dara Ackerman on backing vocals and Scott Mickelson (Fat Opie, Mickelson) on electric guitar and producer.

Amnesia is located at 853 Valencia Street in San Francisco. The album release party on Saturday, July 19, starts at 7:30 p.m. with Dara Ackerman opening the show. The cost is only $10 and for details and to RSVP to the show visit Jeff will also be selling copies of “Weathervane” at the show as well as it will be available to buy on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and at on July 19.
