Jeep's Twitter account hacked to look like Cadillac in weird news today

Jeep’s Twitter account was hacked and turned into a fake Cadillac feed just a day after hackers turned Burger King’s Twitter account into McDonald’s. The Jeep turned Cadillac Twitter hack was a bit different than Burger King turned McDonald's yesterday, as Digital Spy reports on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013.

The person in control of Jeep’s official Twitter account has joked that Jeep has been brought out by Cadillac. His tweet said, “We got sold to @Cadillac.” The serious statement came later explaining that they “are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible."

Cadillac posted a tweet to clarify that “Cadillac is not connected to the hack of the @Jeep Twitter account.” Now that Jeep and Cadillac have it straight by sending out clarifying tweets, what business rivals will the hackers attack next?

The Burger King turned McDonald’s hack went a little further yesterday than the Jeep turned Cadillac hack did. On the Burger King Twitter account they referenced “bath salts,” advertising for people to “Try our new BK Bath Salt! 99% pure MDPV! Buy a Big Mac and get a gram free!” Today's hacked Jeep account was much milder than that.
