Jeb Burton's relationship with ThorSport Racing will extend to at least a second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race when the series travels to Martinsville (Va.) Speedway on March 29. There, Burton will, again, drive a third entry for the team -- a No. 13 Toyota -- joining ThorSport's regular drivers, reigning series champion Matt Crafton and Johnny Sauter.
Burton drove the No. 13 for ThorSport Racing in the Truck Series season opener at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on Feb. 21, finishing seventh. Burton's relationship with the team is race-by-race, depending on sponsorship.
"We were really impressed with Jeb, his ability to mesh with the team and the way he worked his way through that first race and had a respectable finish, which isn't easy at Daytona," ThorSport Team Manager David Pepper said. "We hope we can continue to build on the excitement Jeb and our team created at Daytona, because we really need to get more support to continue racing this Tundra."
Burton raced full-time in the Camping World Truck Series for Turner Scott Motorsports in 2013, but was relieved of driving duties with the team because of sponsorship issues. During that season, he claimed a series-high seven poles, won one race and posted five top-fives and 11 top-10 finishes in 22 races.
