There are several kinds of “networking” events in the Las Vegas arts and fashion community, and Nancy Boucher of Extreme Beauty Marketing just launched a new series, “Dance Meets Fashion”. The event, held at the Lily Lounge of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on May 17th, attracted a wide range of both members of the fashion community and patrons of the arts, jamming the lounge to capacity.
The “Dance Meets Fashion” series intends to create “a new concept in the ever expanding fine and performing arts communities of Las Vegas”. For this event, Nancy chose probably the most visible and popular member of the local fashion community: Jeaune Roe. She is highly sought after as a stylist, and it seems as though most of the published magazine fashion editorials by Las Vegas photographers has a credit for her. The list of collaborators she has worked with reads like a who's who of the Las Vegas fashion photography community.
But she is also known as a fashion designer, and at that initial Dance Meets Fashion event she premiered her 2014 collection of gowns. For Roe, black is the new black, and she made that point constantly throughout the show. Her gowns, like her work as a stylist, reflect visual excitement, sexiness and femininity, all presented as not-so-basic black dresses. The dresses were accented by jewelry designer Kristen Pock & Karyn Brown of Rhinestones & Razorblades. Photos of many of the dresses are in the slide show with this article.
Nancy Boucher has partnered with the well-respected Las Vegas Heaven Can Wait Animal Society to raise awareness of the local fashion and arts community and of the continuing need to rescue, spay and neuter household pets.
