Earlier this month, luxury Swiss watchmaker JEANRICHARD hosted an intimate event for the special edition “208 Seconds” Aeroscope watch at Tourneau TimeMachine in Midtown Manhattan to memorialize the 5th Anniversary of the landing of Flight 1549. Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, the brand’s ambassador, was in attendance to be honored with this watch, along with his wife Lorrie Sullenberger. JeanRichard COO Bruno Grande and Gayle King were also in attendance.
The watch was developed to honor Captain Sully’s feat of saving 155 people in 208 seconds with his impressive landing on the Hudson River. The timepiece represents the importance of saving and working for what’s important to you; in essence, valuing how precious time is. Sullenberger collaborated with JEANRICHARD to design this watch and he is extremely proud of the partnership. The special edition “208 Seconds” Aeroscope watch retails at $5400, with a portion of the sales going to the American Red Cross and the Rory Stauton Foundation, two charities that are dear to Sullenberger. What a perfect blend of style and philanthropy!
