For those fortunate enough to live in the South Bay, the ocean is backyard, playground and sanctuary. For some, it is their life’s work to protect and conserve this greatest of natural resources.
Ocean conservationist Jean-Michel Cousteau makes an exclusive South Bay appearance at Dive N’ Surf in Redondo Beach on Saturday, February 18th from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Cousteau will be signing his memoir, My Father, the Captain, answering questions and chatting with fans.
Dive N’ Surf is the first - and oldest - dive shop in the world and is owned and operated by the Meistrel family, creators of the Body Glove line.
The Meistrel and Cousteau families have worked concurrently for three generations to protect and conserve the oceans and last year announced a new alliance to create a line of dive wear and lifestyle products based on Cousteau’s signature blue hues.
The book signing will take place during Dive N’ Surf’s Annual Yard Sale with a percentage of the book sale profits benefitting Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society.
Dive N’ Surf is located at 504 North Broadway in Redondo Beach. Visit the website at www.divensurf.comor call 310-372-8423 for more information.
