JCP Oscar commercial song list

Curious about the songs used in the six JCP Oscar commercials from Sunday night?

JCP spokesperson Kate Coultas was kind enough to provide the names of the songs used in each JCP Oscar commercial.

They were:

"Yours Truly," which was JCP's salute to its customers, used (edited to correct) an unnamed original song by Sam Martin and Keith Kenniff, a film and TV composer also known as Helios.

"Dear Lingerie," an Oscar commercial for the Cosabella Amore line, used a song by Divine Fits called "Would that Not Be Nice." You can check out the music video for the song on YouTube.

"Dear America," promoting the Joe Fresh line, used a song by Keegan DeWitt called "Say La La." Watch him perform the song live in Nashville.

"Dear Starry-Eyed," for the Pearl by Marchesa line, used "Harmony for Marchesa" written by television composer Ragnar Rosinkranz.

"Dear Guys," for the Levi's jeans line, used a song by British rock band Elbow called "Grounds for Divorce." Check out the music video for the full song.

And an ad for the Liz Claiborne collection also used an original Rosinkranz composition.

The "Yours Truly" ad was probably the best JCP Oscar commercial of the night. In the 90-second ad, the retailer celebrated all the variations of the American spirit, and promised to help customers look and feel better for the next 100 years.

The Oscar commercial series was also accompanied by a Twitter campaign that included $100 gift card giveaways. It was a huge success, according to Paula Keller at SearchInfluence.

The songs likely helped too, as viewers were already searching the Internet for the music from the Oscar commercials before the show had even reached its mid-point.

All in all, the 2013 Oscar commercials series should prove to be a win for JCP.
