JAZZIZ Magazine is an extremely respected publication. In the new Fall issue, the "strikingly modernist" jazz artworks of David Stone Martin are featured in a ten-page portfolio of his greatest album covers. On Tuesday, September 24, the Catalina Jazz Club will be converted into an art gallery to celebrate the iconic jazz illustrations.
A specially curated exhibit of David Stone Martin’s artwork will be presented, accompanied by the music of acclaimed trumpeter Matt Von Roderick (www.mattvonroderick.com) – who's been dubbed by the NY Times as a "postmillennial Chet Baker".
JAZZARTZ Gallery (www.jazzartz.com) will be offering 50% off retail prices for all the David Stone Martin art featured in the Fall issue of Jazziz Magazine as well as special discount pricing on all exhibited artworks. JAZZIZ Magazine will also be offering FREE magazines, CD's and special discounts to the first 50 attendees.
Event schedule: Art at 7pm / Music at 8:30pm. $15 Cover, otherwise RSVP to Catalina by 09/20 for free admission to (323) 466-2210. In addition, an added RSVP bonus will be available.
