Jazz and Joe at HPL on Sundays

See also

What do the free Sunday afternoon jazz concerts at the Hartford Public Library have to do with food and drink? Their cafe is open on concert afternoons so you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, or a snack, while you listen to the concert and afterwards. The Cafe is staffed by persons from The Kitchen at Billings Forge and the food is the same tasty items you can buy for breakfast or lunch at the Cafe or Kitchen during the week. Both locations emphasize local food in fresh and sometimes inventive preparations - I particularly recommend the curry chicken salad or sandwich, and the iced butter cookies are very pretty and large enough to share.

The Baby Grand Jazz series runs on Sundays from January through April. Music begins at 3:00pm with a different performer or group each week. The full schedule is in the link above. The concerts are free and open to the public.
