JAZZ TRIVIA:
Last week we asked you to name the jazz giant and his famous tune that started out as background music for a cologne ad. The composer was Herbie Hancock and the tune was Maiden Voyage. Marlene Mudge and Jeff Rosbrugh were the first two to answer correctly, thus earning Jazz Trivia Expert status. Honorable Mention goes to Chris Craddock for also answering correctly. Congratulations!
Here is this week's Jazz Trivia Question:
This jazz musician convinced his high school to allow him to complete his senior year at a community college in Oregon because he wanted to play jazz gigs in Portland at night. For Jazz Trivia Expert status, can you name this jazz star and the community college he attended?
In the meantime, check out all the jazz gigs below, support our local jazz musicians, and have a great time listening to jazz! Also, if you have any jazz gigs coming up, just reply to this email address and we'll let everyone on our mailing list know about it.
