Jayna Hefford tournament to fight cancer goes July 13 at Smuggler's Glen

The Jayna Hefford Links 4 Life Golf Classic will continue to support the efforts of the Kingston Hospital Foundation on July 13 at Smuggler’s Glen Golf Country Club.

“I knew Jayna from meeting her at various events and she expressed a desire to have a tournament in her father's name. Larry died of cancer and passed away in palliative care in Kingston,” said organizer Jim Boltin. “The Jayna Golf Day raises money for the Kingston Hospital Foundation’s cancer and palliative care departments. We're fortunate that we are able to play and donate to these worthy causes. Everyone knows somebody affected by cancer and its ugly legacy.”

Hefford, who is a star member of Canada’s National Women’s Hockey Team, and the event’s organizing committee would like to thank the RBC Royal Bank, M&M Meat Shops, Coca-Cola, Molson, Coors, McGinnis Landing Restaurant, Freedom 55, London Life,  Cogeco, Chum Radio and Braebury Homes for their support.
