FBI Photo of Jaycee Dugard
Jaycee Lee Dugard, who was kidnapped 18 years ago when she was 11 years old, was freed this week when her abductor, Phillip Garrido, brought her with him to meet with his parole officer. With them were also Garrido's wife Nancy, and the two children Phillip Garrido fathered by raping Jaycee Dugard when she was a child. The children are now 11 and 15, and have lived their entire lives in the Garrido back yard compound where Dugard has been held prisoner.
According to the FBI's website on kidnapping victims, Dugard was born on May 3, 1980, in Anaheim, California. At the time of her abduction, she was four feet six inches tall, and weighed approximately 80 pounds. She was white, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Before she showed up with Garrido at his meeting with his parole officer, Dugard was last seen walking to her school bus stop in South Lake Tahoe, California, on June 10, 1991. She was believed to have been abducted by two individuals, a male and a female. Until Garrido emerged this week, the FBI had been unable to locate Dugard's abductors nor to determine her location.
