Phillip Garrido, the man accused of kidnapping Jaycee Lee Dugard in 1991, and holding her captive for 18 years, was apparently an aspiring musician.
According to former Antioch glass shop owner, Marc Lister, about three years ago Garrido gave him several CDs, which contained about 20 songs because Lister had connections in the music business. Garrido had printed business cards for Lister at one time.
In one song, the sex offender sings,
The way she walks, yeah, subtle, sexy. What can I do? I fall victim too. A little child, yeah, look what you do.”
Another song's lyrics say,
I will tell you about the only one. She’s a dream, dream come true. With a note saying you’re my baby blue.”
According to Lister, Garrido told him the songs were written while he was serving time for the kidnapping and rape of Katie Callaway Hall. To see Hall's interview with Larry King, click here.
Lister, who allowed the media to hear portions of the songs on Friday, said “The language, the lyrics, they’re suggestive and they’re provocative in a lot of songs.”
Lister said he plans to share the music with authorities and possibly use it to raise money for abused women and children.
