Shawn Carter, better known by his stage name Jay-Z, is a rapper, music producer, entrepreneur, actor, husband, and father. He recently added another title to the list-sports agent.
The entertainment company Roc Nation announced Tuesday that they will launch Roc Nation Sports, a full-service sports management company led by Jay-Z.
"Because of my love of sports, it was a natural progression to form a company where we can help top athletes in various sports the same way we have been helping artists in the music industry for years," Carter said in a statement.
He also announced the signing of his first sports client, New York Yankees All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano.
According to Forbes, Jay-Z's 2012 estimated net worth was nearly $500 million. He has received seventeen Grammy Awards and sold approximately 50 million records worldwide.
He married Beyoncé Knowles in 2008, and they have one daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
