Jay Z and Beyonce release fake movie trailer in promotion for upcoming tour

Last night JAY Z & Beyonce released a fake movie promo featuring an extensive list of Hollywood celebrities. The video is directed by Grammy nominated director Melina Matsoukas. The video is titled 'RUN' and follows Jay Z and Beyonce through their bank robbing ways. The '14 Bonnie and Clyde.

The video is thought to be a promotion for the Jay and 'Yonce, 'On The Run' tour that starts June 25 in Miami. The power couple's tour is expected to be THE tour of the summer. Beyonce sold out her 'Mrs. Carter' tour earlier this year, so with the accompaniment of her husband it is set to also sell out. Check out the tour schedule and ticket information here.

The video 'RUN' amps up the excitement for the tour. The video is reminiscent of the 2003 'Bonnie and Clyde' video where Jay Z and Beyonce first declared their comparison to the famous couple. In the video, Jay Z is the bank robbing gangster who is always surrounded by money, expensive alcohol and has meetings in strip clubs. Beyonce plays, what seems to be, the struggling either stripper or prostitute who would do anything for her man because her love for him is undeniable. She plays the ride or die chick.

The cast of the video include famous actors Don Cheadle, Blake Lively, Emmy Rossum, Sean Penn, Guillermo Diaz, Jake Gyllenhaal, Rashida Jones and Kidda Jones. Not a bad cast for a simple fake movie trailer. What else would anyone expect from Jay Z or Beyonce?

The three and half minute video makes the viewer want there to really be a Jay Z and Beyonce movie. The hypothesis is that the story will be elaborated on and continued on stage at their 'On The Run' tour this summer. Once again, the two mega-stars push the boundaries in the music industry.
