Jay Leno to be replaced by Jimmy Fallon on 'The Tonight Show' (Video)

"The Tonight Show" is making its biggest transition since Jay Leno took over from the legendary Johnny Carson in 1992. NewKerala.com has reported on April 4, 2013, Jimmy Fallon to replace Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show." NBC has said Jay Leno will leave his job headlining "The Tonight Show" and will be replaced next spring by Jimmy Fallon, who is currently hosting "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."

This will be the closing of 22-years for Leno as the host of the well known late night talk show. Another big change for the show will a switch in its studio location from Los Angeles to New York, which is the city where it was born. Leno has commented, "Congratulations, Jimmy. I hope you're as lucky as me and hold on to the job until you're an old guy. If you need me, I'll be at the garage." The 38-year-old Fallon joked, "I'm really excited to host a show that starts today instead of tomorrow," in reference to his current show's post-midnight show time.

CBS News has reported, Jimmy Fallon, Jay Leno joke about "Tonight Show" transition. The coming Jay Leno-Jimmy Fallon "Tonight" switch over has been the talk of the late-night TV town ever since the news was made official. David Letterman said, "Good luck to Jay. I know he'll be out on the road, getting it done and taking care of business. And congratulations on a nice long run there at the 'Tonight Show,' if in fact you're not coming back."
