Jay Leno is once again rumored to be in a battle about the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and this time it has nothing to do with Conan O’Brien. With Jimmy Kimmel changing time slots for a younger demographic of viewers, the heat has been turned up at NBC where behind the scenes there are rumors of talks on just how long Jay Leno will stay as host of the popular show. On Monday night the talk show host slammed NBC executives in the monologue which has everyone realizing there are issues on the show.
"Well, you know, the whole legend of St. Patrick, right?" said Jay Leno on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. "St. Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland, and then they came to the United States and became NBC executives."
The dig definitely caught fans by surprise but Jay Leno is known to be subtle with his humor to drive home a point. While the day-to-day operations seem to be pretty fluid around the studios, a fight appears to be brewing behind the scenes as Jay Leno isn't interested in letting Jimmy Fallon take over his spot.
Will this be the only joke about NBC by Jay Leno? Or should viewers expect more as the late night talk show landscape changes?
