Jasper Winery announces initial dates and acts for 2014 Summer Concert Series

Jasper Winery announced the dates and most of the acts for their 2014 Summer Concert Series yesterday. The annual concert series will take place on the lawn of the winery at 2400 George Flagg Parkway in Des Moines every Thursday night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., starting May 15 and running through the end of July. The concerts are free and open to the public. The winery will have burgers, brats, wine, sangria, and Madhouse beer available for purchase, and Chocolaterie Stam and Gusto Pizza will also make regular appearances at the concerts. Patrons may bring non-alcoholic beverages, but all food and alcohol must be purchased on the premises. The winery encourages patrons to bring blankets and chairs to sit on.

Here is a look at the schedule that was released yesterday for the 2014 Jasper Winery Summer Concert Series:

May 15- Boomerang (rock/R&B/soul)
May 22- Dustin Smith and the Sunday Silos (rock/soul)
May 29- Decoy (rock)
June 5- To Be Announced...
June 12- Brother Trucker (roots rock)
June 19- The Nadas (alt-rock/country)
June 26- Pianopalooza (dueling pianos)
July 3- Brian Congdon and Brad Seidenfeld (dueling guitars)
July 10- Mr. Baber's Neighbors (bluegrass)
July 17- Dazy Head Mazy (rock)
July 24- Flipside (cover tunes)
July 31- Final Mix (cover tunes)

Expect a similar announcement to come soon from the winery concerning their unWINEd Concert Series that will alternate this year between Gray's Lake and The Riverwalk Hub. That Friday night concert series is also expected to start sometime in May and run through the end of September.
