Wow. Just last night when I wrote about Jason Wu’s much-anticipated Target collection of clothes already selling on eBay before Wu’s big launch at Target.com and in stores nationwide, there were only 28 items of the new, lesser-priced clothing line for sale on eBay by intrepid sellers getting a jump on the deal.
A mere 10 hours later, today, the big Super Bowl Sunday launch day, there are now 1,273 results on eBay.com when one searches for “Jason Wu Target” on the auction website.
No doubt lots of women found the collection early for sale in their local “Tar-ghay” stores, and bought up stacks of the cute clothes, like the Jason Wu for Target Milu Cat Signature t-shirts – now going for “buy it now” prices of $31 or $44.99 or so – depending on what eBay retailers’ page you’re hitting up.
The big brouhaha over Jason Wu for Target
Some pundits are pontificating whether the popular designer’s collection will go the way of Missoni’s line for Target, when it launched and the superstore retailer was ill-prepared for the huge response from women who loved the designer’s duds, and bought them out in droves, causing the line to sell out.
Considering all the hits these Examiner.com articles are receiving over the Wu clothing line now available at our favorite retailer Target, this writer hopes that the store (especially the online one) is well-stocked and well able to fulfill all those affiliate sales through my links above.
That may in fact be more profitable and less time consuming than popping over to my local Target store and stocking up on Jason’s cute duds – at least the ones befitting a 42-year-old woman – and then posing them in pretty lighting and trying to offload them for a profit on eBay.
Heck – here’s hoping and praying that there’s plenty enough funds to stock this reporter’s closet with some pretty Wu for Target gear of my own. Haute couture (at reasonable prices) here I come!
