Jason Wu sent his fall/winter 2012/2013 collection down the New York Fashion Week runway today and offered a luxurious collection filled with intricate embroidery patterns and details. Jason Wu combined decadent fabrics with sophisticated silhouettes and paired them with classic handbags as well as tiny formal clutches for the cool weather season.
Jason Wu’s fall 2012 collection was predominantly black and red. The fabrications were luxurious and included silks, velvets and leathers. The designer used classic, lady-like silhouettes in his collection and modernized them through intricate details such as embroidery.
Jason Wu accessorized his fall/winter 2012/2013 collection with classic handbags and tiny, formal clutches which were both timeless and elegant; mirroring the overall vibe of the line.
The classic handbags on Jason Wu’s New York Fashion Week runway were the double handle satchel and the single top handle satchel. The two daytime styles were shown in solid colors, color blocked and with embellishments such as studs. The studded satchels added a rock and roll edgy vibe to the overall collection.
Jason Wu paired his more formal looks with tiny clutches which could barely fit a lipstick and car keys. The tiny formal clutches were shown in metallics and offered details such as tassels and crystals. The clutches were timeless and luxurious, making them investment handbags for a formal wardrobe.
Overall, Jason Wu created a luxurious and rich collection with a slight edge for the fall 2012 season. The collection combined classic pieces with modern and trendy details offering a fresh take on fashion for fall 2012.
