Jason Wu premiered his "Miss Wu" collection at Nordstrom. The collection launched on Jan. 7 on Nordstrom.com and Nordstrom stores across the country. According to Style.com, the collection is filled with lots of little feminine details.
Fashion model Meghan Collison appears in the collection's ad, which is a mini film. The film starts out with her sitting in a taxi. She wears a pair of dark sunglasses and an olive green trench coat.
She arrives home to her boyfriend, where she changes in various outfits. She plays around in floral spring dresses and pastel colored suits. Meghan then spins around the room, as if she's a fairy.
Jason said that he wanted to include "fantasy" into his collection. He imagines a spring 2013 woman as an ethereal being. This explains why he chose whimsical details such as pin dots and lace.
The "Miss Wu" collection includes floppy hats, cardigans and dresses. It ranges from $190 to $800. Jason Wu is currently finishing up on his fall 2013. He hopes to include some accessories in his "Miss Wu" line. He feels hopeful about it, saying, "I very much look forward to writing the next chapters in her life."
