Known as a favorite designer of First Lady Michelle Obama and the newly appointed creative director of Hugo Boss; Jason Wu will now be partnering with Lancome to create a special makeup line that will launch in time for the designer's New York Fashion Week presentation in September.
The limited edition line will be sold at Nordstrom and Bergdorf Goodman and contains 15 products, including eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, mascara and nail polish.
Recently Wu spoke to WWD and mentioned that he tested out his Lancome makeup line in February for the models in his runway show wore violet eyeshadows which turns out to be a favorite shade from his new collection.
This collaboration follows in the famous footsteps of fellow designers Marc Jacobs, L'Wren Scott, Jenny Packham and Lanvin's Alber Elbaz whose collections were a hit with fans.
Continuing his careful attention to detail, Wu's compacts, created in his signature shade of dove grey, will run alongside accompanying transparent lace bags made to house his beauty products.
