Jason Tatge, founder of Farmobile, will be one of the featured presenters at the Wednesday, September 3, Startup Rewind from 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the Deer Creek Country Club in Overland Park, KS.
Farmobile is Tatge's third start-up in agriculture. His previous company, Farms Technology, LLC, was sold in December 2012 to DuPont Pioneer. That company focused on making the complex grain marketing process easier through the use of technology.
Now, Tatge is using his prior experience and network in agriculture to make the remote monitoring of farm machines and equipment easier. Farmobile passively collects data from farm machines, sends it to the cloud using cellular technology, stores it in an Electronic Farm Record (EFR) and then makes it available to approved data subscribers to purchase. Farmobile splits all the revenue down the middle keeping complete alignment with the farmers who use Farmobile.
The program helps to get the word out about new companies and ideas, while gaining feedback from the community of business leaders and other entrepreneurs. Organizers explain that the program helps foster business networking and encourage those entrepreneurs who are creating tomorrow's big ideas.
- Startup Rewind takes presentation made at other entrepreneurial events from the entrepreneur scene in Kansas City and replays them again.
Each month at Startup Rewind, local entrepreneurs have six minutes to pitch their idea followed by questions and feedback from the audience. That feedback will help encourage and grow their ideas and in turn build a stronger community through business and entrepreneurship.
