Ain’t It Cool News found out some exciting news yesterday about the “Fast and Furious” franchise, and even before “Fast and Furious 6” comes out.
It is being reported that Jason Statham (“The Transporter”) will indeed be playing the villain in “Fast and Furious 7.”
He was originally rumored to be linked to both the sixth and seventh film, but he dropped out to make the abysmal “Parker” (lord knows why).
Not only will Jason Statham be the main baddie, and get to have some kick-ass fight scenes against Vin Diesel (“Riddick”) and presumably Dwayne Johnson (“Snitch”), but the seventh film will finally bring us full circle to the timeline established in the third film.
“Fast and Furious 7,” through Jason Statham, will indeed lead us to Han’s death in “Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift.”
This is pretty exciting news, and actually has me more stoked for the seventh film than the film right at our doorstep, but unfortunately we will have to wait another year or two before it hits theaters.
