News is out that Jason Statham almost died while filming the movie "Expendables 3." Of course he doesn't always do his own stunt work, but sometimes things happen and this was one of those times. On Tuesday, Movie Pilot shared what happened to him during the filming.
He actually ended up having to jump from a vehicle during filming. Stallone talked about it recently in an interview. He said, "He faced death. He was test-driving a three-ton truck and the brakes run out, it went down 60ft into the Black Sea and became impaled. Luckily we had taken the doors off before. If anyone else had been in that truck we would have been dead because we were all wearing heavy boots and gun belts. We would have drowned. But because Jason is an Olympic-quality diver he got out of it."
It sounds like Jason Statham was very lucky that he even survived through the filming of "Expendables 3." His fast thinking is what actually saved his life. It is great to know that he was able to get out of there in plenty of time. So far Jason hasn't said anything about the accident, but Stallone is speaking out about it and has nothing but great things to say about how Jason saved his own life.
He competed for England at the Auckland Commonwealth Games in 1990. Jason is not just a great actor but is also an amazing diver. This skill might be what saved his life.
"Expendables 3" will be out in theaters on August 15. This should be a great movie to enjoy over the weekend. Jason Statham is back in this third film and who knows if it will be the last or not.
