On February 28, Jason Mraz made a special guest appearance at the LoVE fundraiser event held in the Normal Heights section of San Diego. The LoVe event was a fundraiser to support the Matt Wadleigh LoVE Foundation and the people of Haiti.
Jason Mraz played guitar as part of the band during Bushwalla's performance. Bushwalla performed fan favorites like Ghetto Blaster and Fall Through Glass. Jason Mraz, who has been best friends with Bushwalla for several years, occasionally appears at Bushwalla's concerts since according to Bushwalla, he has an "open invitation." Jason Mraz and Bushwalla both appeared the night before at the Cord Progression concert in Long Beach.
Bushwalla then turned the stage over to Jason Mraz who thanked the San Diego music community for their longtime support. He then began singing "Live High" off his latest album, and was then joined by the gospel choir, Voices of Prayze, who were waiting for their cue in the audience.
Mraz also sang "What Would Love Do Now", a song he wrote for the documentary, May I Be Frank. He ended his brief set with the "Freedom Song", a song inspired by the victims of Hurricane Katrina written by Luc Reynaud.

Other featured performers at the event included Alysse Fischer, Alex Woodard and Dawn Mitschele, who was a close friend of Matt Wadleigh. For the finale, Dawn led a group performance of the Dave Matthews Band song "Everyday" which features the lyrics 'All You Need Is Love." The Matt Wadleigh Foundation was created in 2009 in tribute to Wadleigh, a huge Dave Matthews fan, who used to hold a "LoVE" sign whenever he attended Dave Matthews concerts. The foundation is devoted to spreading the simple message of love in the world.
