Jason Mraz was one of the honorees at the 20th annual Environmental Media Association Awards held on October 25, 2009 in Hollywood. A gala dinner and awards presentation was held at the Paramount Studios Lot in Los Angeles. Mraz appeared with girlfriend, Tawney Bevacqua, on the EMA "green" carpet.
Jason Mraz was recognized for his committment to "green" touring and using sustainable textiles, notably through the company, Blend Apparel. Mraz is a partner in this organic clothing line which uses eco-friendly fabrics, dyes, and printing methods. He often wears the t-shirts at his shows.
Mraz attended the EMA event with girlfriend, Tawney Bevacqua, believed to be the inspiration for his hit song, "Lucky." Mraz previously mentioned Bevacqua in an interview with San Diego Magazine last year.
"Tawney's been a close friend for two years. Because I travel so much, we're not making any serious commitments. But if I were to settle down, she's one of the first places I would look."
Mraz also revealed this in an interview this summer at the Outside Lands Music Festival: "I'm not married yet, but I think I may have found the one."
Bevacqua is a 24-year-old makeup artist who recently worked on the The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency TV show. She has a MySpace page focusing on her makeup business.

Other EMA honorees included Virgin Airlines owner, Richard Branson, the National Geographic Society and Centropolis Entertainment, the production company led by Roland Emmerich, director of the upcoming movie, 2012.
