Jason Moore hired to direct 'The Nest'

Deadline has learned today that “Pitch Perfect” director Jason Moore has been hired to direct “The Nest” for Universal.

Written by “Saturday Night Live” veteran Paula Pell, the film centers on two thirty-something sisters who, after finding out that their parents’ house has been put up for sale, spend a last wild weekend together; bonding and feuding and finally growing up.

Tina Fey (“Date Night”) is in talks to star as one of the sisters, and despite them looking differently the internet is clamoring for Fey’s Golden Globe’s co-host Amy Poehler (“Baby Mama”) to play the other sister.

Fey will also be producing the film through her Little Stranger Inc. banner, and her comedic background with Moore’s recently shown ability to direct a quality film we should have a nice hilarious comedy on our hands.
