Jason Momoa's name has been circling the upcoming Batman v. Superman for some time now. The Game of Thrones star has been attached to the film for some time now and the actor cautiously mentioned his involvement. However, in the past couple of days, Momoa's name has resurfaced again for the project; but now the actor is said to be playing a major player in the Justice League. Many sources were unsure for a while, but it seems that the story from Hitfix is true: Jason Momoa will be playing Aquaman.

Aquaman has always been considered a prominent member of the Justice League, but not one with the best reputation. Thanks to the likes of Superfriends, Aquaman has been considered a joke to the majority of people; which has been noted in a variety of parodies and TV shows. Though, in recent years, Aquaman has been revitalize in the eyes of the fans. While it is unsure just what Aquman will be like in this film, it can be safe to say that he will not be riding seahorses in the upcoming blockbuster.

While fans are going to shake their heads at another superhero joining the film starring Batman and Superman, there is one thing that we all must consider first: Aquaman is going to be in a movie! That point out of the way, it is unclear what role the King of Atlantis will play in the upcoming film. Many can assume that Aquaman will definitely play a part in the upcoming Justice League film. So for all we know, Aquaman will have a brief scene in Batman v. Superman. Whatever is in store for Aquaman, fans can now rest at ease because not only will we see the Atlantian on the silver screen, but Jason Momoa's part in the film has finally been confirmed.

Mamoa joins a major list of stars in the upcoming film. Starring in the Batman v. Superman is Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Lauremce Fishburne, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Callan Mulvey, Ray Fisher, Tao Okamoto and Holly Hunter.
