Jason Michael Carroll headlines this weekend’s events at metro Atlanta country bars, clubs and honky tonks when he headlines at Cowboys in Kennesaw on Saturday night (1/16).


Texas native Carroll continues to tour in support his second CD, “Growing Up is Getting Old,” the follow-up to "Waitin’ in the Country”. He’ll perform his latest single, “Hurry Home“, along with such favorites from the earlier as “I Can Sleep When I’m Dead” and Where I’m From,”, plus the Top 10 Hits “Alyssa Lies” and “Livin’ Our Love Song.” Ross Coppley is the opening act. Pre-sale tickets start at $14.


Also this holiday weekend you’ll find:

• Nashville songwriters Tony Haselden and Mike Dekle at The Swallow at the Hollow in Roswell Friday and Saturday (1/15-1/16). Tickets are $15; shows start at 10 pm.

• A weekend lineup of local bands and special events at Cowboys in Kennesaw; Southern Comfort in Conley; Wild West Bar and Grill in Holly Springs; and Ozone Bar & Grill in Covington.
