Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy are locked in a bitter battle over sole custody of their daughter Bryn, as well as who gets their $5 million apartment in the super exclusive Tribeca neighborhood in NYC. Radar Online reported on Feb. 4, that if Jason is awarded the 3,400 square foot apartment as his primary residence, he will tear down Bethenny’s closet, which is bigger than most studio apartments in New York City.

A source told Radar Online that Bethenny favors material possessions over personal relationships.
“Jason has vowed to immediately tear down that damn closet and turn it into a man cave if he is given the apartment as part of the divorce settlement. When they [Frankel and Hoppy] were still together Jason accused Bethenny of loving the closet more than him. She [Frankel] is obsessed with material objects.”
The apartment was recently highlighted in Traditional Home magazine, and Bethenny said the den-turned-closet is her favorite room in the entire apartment. “I wanted a closet like this my whole life and finally, I don’t have to shove things under the bed,” Frankel said in her interview with Traditional Home.
In addition to the walk-in closet, Bethenny Frankel also has her Skinnygirl offices set up in the apartment. According to sources, Jason Hoppy oversaw all the renovations of the “sprawling savvy-style" apartment, as well as dealing with the design team of Mariette and Brooke Gomez.
Frankel and Hoppy would have celebrated their third wedding anniversary on March 8. Instead, the couple is locked in a bitter battle over sole custody of their almost 3-year-old daughter Bryn, as well as who gets the gorgeous 3,400 square foot NYC apartment.
