This week on the News Sentinel Sports Page, a radio sports talk show I host on WNML in Knoxville, Austin Ward and I talked to Atlanta Braves outfielder Jason Heyward..
Jason Heyward on his changed body and weight entering this season: “At the beginning of the season last year when I went in to spring training I was 256. I put on a lot of muscle. When I finished the season of 2011 I felt pretty good weight-wise and finally working off some of that weight that I put on. I said let’s try to be between 230 and 240 and take that into this season and be in the best shape possible. That's exactly what I set out to do and it's looking pretty good.”
We discussed much more with one of the best young players in Major League Baseball, Braves RF Jason Heyward before the final stop on the Braves Caravan. LISTEN to that entire conversation with Jason Heyward.
