Jason Dunn of Hawk Nelson starts 2013 with first solo album & tour

Jason Dunn, former frontman of Grammy and Dove Award nominated Christian rock band Hawk Nelson, has announced that his first solo album "Abandon Progress" will release in May 2013.

Dunn, who performed with the group for almost 10 years, played with Hawk Nelson for the last time on March 11, 2012 before leaving to pursue a solo career. Guitarist Jonathan Steingard took over on lead vocals for Hawk Nelson after Dunn's departure.

"It's been quite an interesting couple of years for me,” says Dunn. “I quit a band that was doing fairly well for themselves and I started all over again, working my way from the ground up. The title of my record, 'Abandon Progress,' really summarizes my life as of late in more than one way."

Dunn recorded "Abandon Progress" with Grammy nominated songwriter and producer Aaron Rice (tobyMac, Mandisa, Rachael Lampa). The new album can be pre-ordered now at www.jasondunn.bigcartel.com.
