Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience to play in Hollywood (Photos)

By Phyllis Pollack

Jason Bonham, son of the late Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, will bring his version of the band's classic songs to the road with a fal tour that will land the band in Hollywood on October 14, 2011. His group, Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience, will perform at the Greek Theatre.

The outdoor amphitheatre has long been a favorite destinations of music fans.

Many of those that buy tickets to the concert have previously seen Bonham's father playing live Zeppelin. For those who never saw that band live, they can experience Zep's music as presented and led by a younger generation of hard rock fans.

The group's performance is a spectacular rock concert with iconic Led Zeppelin rock songs, in memory of his father John Bonham.

Discussing the tour, Bonham notes, “The music created by John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and my father John Bonham is timeless, groundbreaking and pure magic.I always feel closer to him while I'm performing their music and the response has been overwhelming.” CONTINUE READING THIS ARTICLE BELOW THIS ADVERTISEMENT:

The tour will begin October 12 in Riverside, CA and finish November 18 in Clearwater, FL; the full fall itinerary is listed below.

The group features Bonham on drums, Tony Catania on guitar and theremin, Stephen Leblank on keyboards/pedal steel guitar, Dorian Heartsong (in for Michael Devin) on bass and James Dylan on lead vocals. The band’s powerful live performance of Led Zeppelin’s classics takes concert-goers through a mesmerizing visual and aural journey as giant backdrops display iconic art, and BONHAM’s own historical video footage and photos give the show an intimate feel. Show highlights include a heartfelt duet with JASON performing “Moby Dick” off Led Zeppelin II alongside his father. JASON is honored to perform 20 hand-picked favorites encompassing the band’s albums including their 1969 debut Led Zeppelin (“Your Time Is Gonna Come,” “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You”), 1969’s Led Zeppelin II (“Thank You,” “Lemon Song”); 1970’s Led Zeppelin III (”Celebration Day”); 1970’s Led Zeppelin IV (“When The Levee Breaks” and “Rock and Roll”); 1975’s Physical Graffiti (“Kashmir”) and many more Led Zeppelin favorites.
