Jason Bateman's 'Bad Words' has Hollywood premiere

The new comedy film by Focus Features, "Bad Words," had its Hollywood premiere at ArcLight Cinemas Cinerama Dome on March 5, 2014, in Hollywood, Calif. The comedy "Bad Words" was directed by Jason Bateman ("Juno") and stars Jason Bateman, Kathryn Hahn and Allison Janney.

"Bad Words" marks the directorial debut of actor Jason Bateman. Also starring Bateman, the film is the story of a spelling bee loser that finds a little known rule that allows him to enter the contest a second time as an adult.

"Bad Words" debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival last September. The film will be released into U.S. theaters on Friday, March 14, 2014, in a limited release. The film will compete for box office dollars with thriller "Need for Speed," the crime drama "Veronica Mars" and the mystery film "Enemy."

"Bad Words" is rated R for crude and sexual content, language and brief nudity and has a run-time of one hour and 28 minutes.
