Jason Bateman makes his directorial debut in the new movie, "Bad Words." Bateman, 45, both stars in and directs the film set to be released on March 14. According to the Los Angeles Times on Mar. 11, he remembered his own childhood as a star when working with Rohan Chand.
'I remembered what I needed to hear as a little kid to feel comfortable and safe on set.'
Jason Bateman channeled his inner child and that helped to put himself into the shoes of the young Chand. They both really connected well both in front of and behind the camera. The actor came across as natural rather than just acting in his role. Chand noticed Bateman's technique with him as well.
'He was a kid actor too, and I think he knows how I would like to be treated and how I feel.'
Jason Bateman is best known for his role as a child actor in the hit television series "Little House on the Prairie," "Silver Spoons" and "The Hogan Family." Most recently he played Michael Bluth in the series resurrected on Netflix, "Arrested Development."
