Country singer Jason Aldean’s tour bus hit and killed a man in Vincennes, Indiana in the early morning hours on Monday, Oct. 27. Aldean was the only person on the bus, besides the driver, reports “Fox and Friends” on Tuesday.
CNN identified the dead man as, Albert Kennedy of Vincennes walked into the middle of the road and was hit by the bus. Kennedy, who was 41, was struck down by the bus as he stood in northbound lane, but no reason was given for the man to be out on the road walking in the wee hours in the morning.
Country singer Jason Aldean tweeted a statement on Monday afternoon
"With a heavy heart, I'm sad to say that a man passed away last night after stepping out in front of my bus in Indiana. In all the years I've been touring and all the miles we've driven, nothing prepares you for something like this to happen. I'm praying for Albert Kennedy's family and friends today and ask that you do the same."
Kennedy was pronounced dead by the coroner, who said he died from trauma to the head and chest.” The investigation is on-going into this death. Aldean was said to be visibly shaken after the accident. He was traveling to Illinois for a vacation after wrapping up his tour. What a way to start a vacation and after a long grueling tour, it is probably a much needed vacation for the country singer. Police did not charge anyone with the accident, but the investigation is on-going.
