Jason Aldean got his fans ready for a big announcement on Jan. 9, 2013 by posting “Tune in TODAY: 1st announcement: Good Morning America 8:30am ET/PT 2nd Announcement: 2:30pm ET/PT” on his Facebook page.

Aldean followed up his Facebook post by heading to “Good Morning America” to spread the big news. Aldean said "This year I wanted to make a big announcement and I actually partnered up with Major League Baseball to kick off a new tour, It's called the 'Burn it Down Tour.'"

Aldean also treated fans to a live performance of his latest single “When She Says Baby” during his “Good Morning America” stop. The new tour is set to kick off May, 1, 2014 with Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr opening the shows. Aldean said "I think it's going to be a total of about 50 shows on this tour."

Aldean later announced that four of the tour stops will include Major League Baseball stadiums when he headed to the studios. Aldean’s “Burn it Down Tour” announcement named stops at MLB stadiums including PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Nationals Park in Washington, Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati and Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Aldean said "I grew up thinking that baseball was going to be my career path for a while." Aldean added "To get a chance to go into some of these ballparks -- especially where I grew up watching games -- to me, it's a pretty big deal for us. I always thought I'd play them as an athlete, not so much as a musician. But at least now I can say I played the park, even if it was as a singer."
