Fans of country music artist Jason Aldean have been waiting to hear a major announcement from the singer and today it finally came. ABC News reported on Jan. 9 that Jason Aldean announced his new tour for 2014 on “Good Morning America.”

Aldean has been hinting to fans all month about the tour via Twitter. He posted various pictures leaving clues that kept everyone guessing until today. The tour is going to be very unique and all shows will be performed at various Major League Baseball stadiums throughout the country. The tour will be called the “Burn it Down Tour.”

He is expecting to perform about 50 concerts on the tour. Aldean said on “GMA” that he will not be releasing a full venue list but rather will announce shows periodically during the year.

Performing the shows at MLB stadiums holds a special meaning for Aldean. Prior to his music career kicking off he dreamt of being a professional ball player. It’s okay the baseball dream didn’t come through though because based on the number of hits he has and the number of albums sold Aldean has found his calling.

Aldean’s current album “Night Train” is nominated for Best Country Album at next month’s Grammy Awards.
