Jarvis Jones becomes potential cover athlete for 'NCAA Football 14'

It’s down to eight teams in the NCAA Football 14 Cover Vote and the Georgia Bulldogs are still in the hunt.

Recently, EA Sports revealed the eight cover athletes for the eight schools remaining and the crew from EA Sports selected Jarvis Jones to be the Bulldogs candidate.

Jones was a monster for the Bulldogs the last two years, racking up 28 sacks and 45.5 tackles for losses. Jones was named a consensus All-American in 2011 and 2012, and he even placed 10th in the 2012 Heisman voting.

If Jones is elected, he would be the first player from Georgia to be on the cover of “NCAA Football”. Jones would be the third player that has Georgia ties to be on the cover of either “NCAA Football” or the “Madden NFL” franchises. Former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick graced the cover of “Madden NFL 2004” and former Georgia Tech wide receiver Calvin Johnson was on the cover of “Madden NFL 13”.

The other seven candidates to be on the cover of “NCAA Football 14” are Denard Robinson (Michigan), Eddie Lacy (Alabama), John Simon (Ohio State), E.J. Manuel (Florida State), Kenjon Barner (Oregon), Ryan Swope (Texas A&M) and Tyler Eifert (Notre Dame).
