It was last Saturday in Sin City and the anticipation of the arrival of Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles had anxious fans holding their breath. Creation Entertainment hosted the three day fun filled party at The Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas, and it was a weekend fans will never forget. Although the hilarious Karaoke Kings Matt Cohen and Richard Speight, Jr. had already brought down the house the night before, there was no doubt that it was the Winchester Brothers that everyone had been waiting for. To the song The Boys Are Back in Town, Jared and Jensen stepped on to the stage deafening screams and applause. First order of business was to acknowledge the returning convention attendees, and thank the fans that earned Supernatural their latest People’s Choice Award.
To no one’s surprise, the very first question was to Jared to inquire whether or not he had plans to cut his luscious locks. Truth came out has he admitted that he had opportunities to cut it when not filming, and he had decided that he liked it long. The next answer came from Jensen regarding being a director. He commented that he had expected Jared to mess with him more. He said Jared didn’t and acted as a true professional and had Jensen’s back, which made his job easier. Then Jensen realized that Jared had saved up all his harassment for when Misha directs in season nine. He said that they can’t promise that Misha will come out alive.
Suddenly they had a quick question from Ty Olsson who said he came directly from the Blackjack tables. He wanted to know what he had to do to get to ride on their little electronic motorcycles. Jensen promised him a ride when they get back to the set. This transitioned well in to one of the next questions which was basically what was it like to be really attractive. Jensen announced that he was the right man for the job and tried to answer the question, but the screams from the mostly female audience wouldn’t allow him to finish. Jared stepped in with the answer by stating what it’s like to be in the public eye. He explained that “You hear a lot of good, and a lot of bad. You’ve gotta throw it all out and worry about who you are inside. “Then quipped “But if you wanna know what it’s like to be attractive, you’ve gotta ask Jensen!”
Part of the way through the panel the boys had an uninvited guest who tried to crash their Q&A. None other than Misha Collins failed with his attempt to crash their panel not knowing that there was a monitor right in front of Jared and Jensen. He calmly explained that he was simply looking for the bathroom and left. Plans were foiled again by “J and J.” Finally Jensen had his opportunity to finish a story, and much to his dismay, the audience advised him that Misha had already told it. Jensen expressed his anger by stating that the “Little s**t told my story. I’m gonna punch him in the face.”
Fans favorite brothers Jared and Jensen had plenty of stories to tell and the hour passed by far too quickly. They boys left the stage to the song “The Boys Are Back in Town” with Jensen singing with Rob Benedict and house band, The Elastic Waste Band to complete an amazing hour of fun. Fans finally were able to exhale.
