In an event specializing in anime, manga and video games, one woman stood out in Hong Kong Friday.
Today was the start of the 13th Animation-Comic- Games fair at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and one of the big hits was the opportunity to hug a famous Japanese porn star.
One of the big draws of the event was a hugging competition, which pitted a Japanese porn star versus a Taiwanese singer and a local “pseudo model”, which attracted many male patrons to the fair.
Maria Ozawa, 25, known in Japanese hardcore porn circles for the video New Face Number One Style, will be competing against Taiwan's Guo Shuyao, 21, aka "Yaoyao," and pseudo model "Ah Tan" Tang Yee-ling, 27.
The winner, the one who gives the most hugs in the space of 1 hour, will win the position of spokeswoman for the "RTO Online" game.
The “hugging competition” was so popular that an extra six security guards were brought in to control the crowd.
The event goes on until Tuesday. Last year the 13th Animation-Comic- Games fair drew nearly 700,000 people.
