Green Apple Yogurt & More, a small, Japanese-inspired grab and go café located in the Loop downtown (201 N Clark Street) is an excellent place to go for a fresh, vegetarian lunch. Nosh on a vegetarian sandwich complete with avocado, mushrooms, and sprouts, or opt for a filling baked potato topped with broccoli, tomato, mushroom, green peppers and onions. If you are craving Japanese cuisine, order the Mari soba (Japanese buckwheat noodles), or the Kappa Maki (cucumber roll) lunch box, which is stuffed with eight sushi pieces and a salad with Japanese ginger soy dressing. Keep it healthy by ordering a fresh squeezed fruit or vegetable juice to drink, or indulge your sweet tooth with a customized cup of frozen yogurt or smoothie. And, because they open up at 7:30 in the morning, you can stop in for some fresh juice, a fruit cup, or smoothie to get a healthy start on your way to the office.
