Japanese Fashion from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago

As part of the January 2013 events at the Art Institute of Chicago is a lecture from the School of the Art Institute on the stunning reimaginings of dresses from Japanese designers such as Rei Kawakubo, Issey Miyake, Yohii Yamamoto, and Junya Watanabe. Creativity abounds in these pioneering designs.

Commemorating the 25th anniversary of the SAIC's Fashion Resource Centers, curator Janice Katz with Gillion Carrara and Caroline Bellios, School of the Art Institute, present the lecture in conjunction with the exhibition.
