High pressure will build across northeastern Ohio today and remain in control of our weather through the first half of the week. This system will bring sunshine and gradually moderating temperatures.
For today, it will be cloudy early, then skies will gradually become partly sunny. Highs will be in the mid 30s.
Tonight will be mostly clear with lows in the mid 20s.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny and a little warmer with highs topping out around 40 degrees.
Tuesday night will be clear with lows ranging from the mid 20s to the low 30s.
Then on Wednesday, it will be mostly sunny with highs reaching the low 40s.
On Thursday, the high pressure system over the region will finally slip off to our east while a storm system moves northward through the Mississippi Valley. This storm will push a warm front northward across the area Thursday. This will yield milder temperatures and the threat of widespread rainfall. Highs on Thursday will reach the mid 40s.
Even warmer temperatures are expected for the end of the week and the upcoming weekend along with a continuing threat of rain showers.
