January test and assessment schedule for Baltimore City school students

The Baltimore City school system has several weeks of tests and assessments scheduled for the month of January. Make sure your children are prepared for tests and encourage them to go to school ready to do their best.

From January 11th to 22nd, high school assessment tests and make up tests are scheduled for Biology I, Algebra I, Government and English II students.

On January 23rd, high school juniors and seniors should plan on taking their SATs.

From January 25th to 29th, elementary and middle school students will be assessed for gifted student services.

On January 25th, Morrell Park's 8th graders and on the 28th, Mount Royal's 8th graders will be taking the National Assessment of Education Progress.

To be sure that your child does his or her best on tests, you should:

  • Make sure that he or she gets a good night's rest.
  • Serve a nutritious breakfast and pack a hearty lunch if your child is a packer. All that thinking makes kids hungry.
  • Check to be sure there are several nice, sharp pencils in your child's pencil case. Most teachers do have pencils available for tests, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
