January snow blast adds winter weekend fun north of Toronto GTA

Ontario is ending January with the best weekend snow conditions on the ski hills, snow tube slopes and cross country ski trails. The Barrie Travel Information Center reports ski hill and snowboard conditions with "new natural snow reported in all the resorts areas virtually every day this week.....the slopes and trails are in excellent shape".

Winter outdoor conditions are at the peak with a number of fresh air activities, events and festivals taking place the weekend of January 25-27. Highlighted dog sledding races, winter carnivals and festivals are running throughout the weekend north of Toronto.
